Pro-activ skincare challenge!

Skin update!!! It has calmed down but I still have spots, with the amount of effort I put into my skin this just isn't good enough. Searching around Boots looking for something to help I came across the pro-activ kit.

For £30 I was able to purchase a 60 day kit including cleanser, Toner and a treatment moisturiser.

Here is what Proactiv say : Proactiv® Solution is a combination system - it combines ingredients in a system that works together to manage breakouts. Proactiv® Solution combines Salicylic Acid, Sulphur and our special formulation to get to the source of the problem. These ingredients gently exfoliate your skin and unplug your pores.

All sounds very scientific and boring, the thing that has always intrigued me is the celebrity endorsements, Katy Perry, Jessica Simpson and some bird from Made In Chelsea. So I have decided to set myself a challenge. From the 1st of January until and including the 1st of March I will be using only this! To give this the best chance of working I have also thrown in some other rules.

1) absolutely no picking. I'm a prolific picker and I'm sure it really doesn't help or more probably it makes it even worse.

2) up my water intake. I don't drink enough surely it can't hurt my chances.

3) reduce my alcohol intake. By no means am I a wine a night person but I really want to give myself the best chances.

So on the 1st of March I will be posting before and after pictures to see if this stuff works for me. Does anyone have spot treatments they rely on? Or have you tried the Proactiv range? Let me know. Xx

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable

Happy Christmas Eve eve!

Hope you're all having a great festive time. Only two more sleeps until the big fat man with the long white beard comes down your chimney!

I thought I would write a quick post on something I picked up on Friday.

As the title says its the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. I bought the colour crush which is a more wearable wine stain and I really love this.

First of all, although this is a stain the colour pay off is brilliant. Like I said its very wearable however you can add another coat to amp it up a bit. It sits really well on the lip, very smooth and not drying at all, also due to it being a stain it doesn't smudge, bonus. It does have a minty smell which I quite like although it doesn't hang around for long. The best part of the product is that it actually lasts. I took my makeup off on Friday night but when I woke up you could still see the colour on my lips. This product for £6.99 is brilliant. It didn't let me down in anyway at all and I most certainly want to get some more colours.

So that's all from me for now. I hope you have a magical Christmas

Project 10 Pan/10 Bottle

Back in the day when BuyNowBlogLater was called Lollipop26 and filmed Youtube videos there was a tag circulating the beauty community called Project 10 pan. It was  a way of holding your hands up and saying Yes I am a massive consumer of all things beauty and I would like to make a dent in my collection before purchasing anything else. Call it beauty lent if you will.

The idea was basically to pick 10 items that you were going to finish before purchasing anymore non essentials. I loved these types of videos and blogs. I hate waste so much and there is something so satisfying about finishing a product whether or not you enjoyed it.

I have attempted many a time this beauty lent idea and it has felt good.

Another Idea for me doing this is because I've been ever such a good girl this year and Santa knows I love beauty, hopefully he will gift me something new and exciting.. ( That sounded less pervy in my head).

OK so onto the items I plan on using up..

1) Redken Anti snap
Reason: I would benefit from using this regularly so it makes sense to include this as i might then use it everyday

2) TRESemme Thermal Creations heat protector
Reason: Same as above really. I need to use this more often then I am so I am hoping this will spur me on.

3) MURAD skin perfecting lotion
Reason: Last of a bad kit. Its ok not great and I really just want this out of my sight.

4)MURAD Acne spot treatment.
Reason: Not all that either, I only have a little bit left. May aswell get rid!

5)The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle hand cream
Reason: Last dregs and I have a brand new soap and glory one to use.

6)O.P.I Lincoln Park at Midnight
Reason: O.P.I nail vanishes dont seem to have a very long shelf life and rather then this dry out I may aswell get a few more go's on this premium polish.

7)Rimmle Wake me up Foundation
Reason: a really nice foundation, However it gets overlooked by MakeupForever HD and Chanel Perfection and Aqua Lumiere.

8) Collection2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
Reason: This stuff gets cloggy really quicky. Better use it before it gets crap!

9)Revlon Matte blush in Perfectly Peach
Reason: This is another Product that I never reach for. Its been in my kit for ages and it needs using up.
nows a better time then ever

and lastly

10) StriVectin -SD Stretchmark cream.
Reason: It has had no effect on me so far so I'm going in hard in the hope that I see some improvement.

I'll update by the end of January In the hope that all my products have been used up!

Empties part 1

Hello

I've seen YouTube videos and other blogs where beauty girls rattle of what they've used up and give a really quick review.

I'm never one to miss a bandwagon so let me jump straight onto this one!!

Over the last month I have used up a few products. This doesn't mean that I have raced through products, simply that they were coming to an end all at the same-ish time.

First of all.... Liz Earle, Cleanse and polish.
This was a birthday present from my very good friend who adores the brand. I have bought this myself a few times (I did say I loved a bandwagon) however I really don't rate this product. It could be a coincidence but each time I have used this my skin flares up terrible. Sad face :-(
I'm pleased this has been all used up!

Nars cleansing water...
This was from my better half, he knows I love all things beauty so he picked me up a few bits whilst in the states. This was ok. It didn't do anything bad but it wasn't a wow product or something I MUST get again. It's also fairly pricy for essentially a water!

Clean and Clear exfoliating face wash... First time using this basic wash. It did what it said. I was left with clean soft skin and it almost felt like it also cleared up my skin somewhat. A really good inexpensive basic and I would certainly get this again.

Sephora by O.P.I
I picked this up whilst in Vegas. It was a really quick no brainer. I needed a solvent to get my polish off and this was the cheapest in Sephora. I don't think this will be a massive repurchase for me as it will take me flying 10 hrs to get it. However this was about as nice as a polish remover could be. Smelt better then the Sally Hansen remover I usually use and left my nails a bit more stronger and smoother. All in all a nice product

O.P.I polish in Rainbow connection
This glitter polish is nice and looks good but it dried out so so quickly and for £13.00 I don't really find that acceptable when you can buy £3.00 glitter polishes from other brands that last longer and feel a better quality. Won't be getting this again

Lastly... Neutrogena spot stress cleansing lotion. Love this!! It's my fifth bottle. It does dry your skin out but if your skin is a bundle of spotty crap like mine this provides a bit of relief. I will be getting this again... As soon as possible if I can help it.

So that's me done for another post.
Hope you enjoyed it people xx

TOM FORD, Bruised Plum lipstick

Whilst in Vegas I picked up A Tom Ford lipstick in Bruised Plum. My main reason for purchasing this is because it is normally £45 in this country and over there it was selling for $33.75 (£21.00 ish)

I knew I had to get this lipstick...

I poured over the choice of about 5 or 6 shades and decided on this brown plum colour. They had nudes and Pinks, Which I already have in my collection and I didn't want a rouge noir (reddy black) so instead I picked up this brown hued red.

First Impressions... The packaging is half the reason why this lipstick is so wonderful and who wouldn't love the TF indented into the top of the bullet. But as we are constantly reminded 'It's not the packaging, its the product inside'.

The lipstick carries the same smell as MAC and when applying the lipstick it feels creamy and soft.

The finish is satin like and I don't think It will last that well on me. Although on initial application the colour is vivid and intense, It does look nice once blotted and more buffed in and is certainly more wearable.

I really do like this lipstick. If truth be known I'm a little depressed that I won't be picking up any of the other colours any time soon.

Now I have a sad face as it won't be long until the TF has gone   :(

November Favourites

End Of November already, I cant believe how fast the month has gone.
Right thats the obligatory opening line sorted, lets get on with what I have been loving this month.

My Skin has been getting back on track. By no means is it clear but the hard sore lumps have died down and instead I'm left with slight marks from the healing skin and a scattering of open pores. I dream of perfect skin but at the moment I feel grateful that it has eased up a little.

I put this down to Neutrogena Spot Stress Control cleansing lotion, Johnsons Clean and Clear face wash and Sudo creme.

Yes I know essentially this is an arse cream but its bloody good. Its anti septic and its healing. It smooths down any redness and helps my spots to heal quicker.

Make up wise I have been loving Maybelline colour Tatoo in barely bronze. Im not a massive eyeshadow wearer but this gives me a no fuss look that lasts ALLLL day!

Other then the eyeshadow the only things to have pleased me are a few lip products.
Mac lipgloss in Boy bait is my perfect milky nude.
Revlon Lip butter in Creme brulee is an easy option for colour and moisture.

With my hands being looked at more often (mainly by me) I have been extra vigilant with the hand cream. I bought a hand cream from The Body Shop called ginger sparkle. The packaging displayed a happy go lucky Ginger bread man on the front so I was fully up for a sickly sweet smell. This however is fresh as in a lemony ginger concoction. It also moisturises pretty well.

I have started a few new products recently so once I have given them a fair shot I will be sure to let you know what I think.

These are: Garnier body oil, Makeup Forever HD foundation, Makeup Forever HD powder and A TOM FORD lipstick in bruised plum.

Look out for these coming soon!

Vegas Face

Apologies for the silence but I took a little trip to Vegas last week. It was my first time and I was expecting pure sleaze. However I was pleasantly surprised. I guess you could find boobies if you really wanted to but I never saw any!!

I also came back ENGAGED! wahoo.. expect some manicure pictures with bling.

Now on to the actual make up chat.

I had taken a shite load of makeup to Vegas and I don't know what I was quite thinking.. Show girl maybe? I literally packed a different look for each night, false eyelashes included. In the end I stuck with a variation of one look.. lots and lots of gel eyeliner.. Winged out and with as flawless skin as I could achieve. Some times I added a contoured eye crease and some times some strong brows.

One thing that I would say is that I piled on the make up during the day simply because I had the time too. No children = A long bath and a half decent foundation routine.

So my Vegas saviours are:

Firstly a half decent moisturiser. The desert is bloody dry. If you don't have dry skin then you certainly will by the time you leave. Bearing in mind I have semi oily spotty skin I was so dry.
I found that a water spray is also helpful.

Lip balm is a must. Air conditioning is a bitch

A nice long wear budge proof foundation.. I recommend Estee Lauder Double wear. Days merge into nights and you may not want to leave the bar to go fix your make up.

Maybe just a little glitter for night time. I chose Collection 2000 eyeliner in Rock star.

Now I'm back I'm certainly in the Christmas mood. The decorations are going up at the weekend! whoop.

Garnier Olia..... My Experience!

Hi and Happy Hump Day!

I tried the new Garnier Permanent hair colourant today...The all singing all dancing oil formulation, and what did I think....Meh!

Before I ramble on about what I thought of the product here is the spiel that Garnier have issued;

"For the first time in home colour, oil does more than condition, it boosts the colouring process"

"A new era begins with Olia – the first oil-powered permanent home hair colour. Contains 60% oils with natural flower oils and no ammonia."

"The drop-shaped bottle fits perfectly into the palm of the hand, allowing for controlled application. Velvety cream texture and a luxurious subtle fragrance, Garnier has helped transform the colouring routine into a new beauty ritual."

What first drew me to this hair colour was the fact it largely used oil. I have been using oil (Decleor) on my face for about 5 years now and I enjoy every aspect of using it, apart from the price. So when this big hype surrounding oil began about a year ago I really got hooked. You can buy an oil for anything these days, Your nails, hair, body, face and generally I like them.

So there I was in boots, I knew I was going to use this particular brand but I wasn't sure of the colour. Don't ask me what happened but I asked my boyfriend to pick a colour for me and so he did.... 31.6 DEEP VIOLET!! Yes Purple!

I'm fairly brave and in all honesty I was eyeing up this colour a few weeks ago... anyway the next day (Today) I decided to give it a go and well I cant say its worth all the hype. My hair had changed colour but it certainly didn't look like anything like it should of. It looked more like a very very deep brown, borderline black. In some lights you could notice the purple, but not as much as I would have liked. I blamed the lack of intensity down to the fact that this product contained no ammonia. So how about the fact that it is kinder and has all these wonderful oils? Well it certainly hasn't made an impact on the condition of my hair.

I think the idea was there and Garnier are certainly making the most of the oil hype but it failed to deliver what it was intended for. As for the application process you can tell that Garnier have put some real thought in. Black gloves are a nice touch as, is the thin nozzle dye applicator and admittedly dying your hair without that ammonia smell is greatly appreciated. However these factors aren't enough to win me over.

Since this afternoons disappointments I have purchased Schwarzkopf Live XXL in Mystic Violet and hope that this will provide me with that blast of colour I want.

Let me know what hair dye and colour you guys use/recommend.

Go Get Glamour (UK)

Hello...
Until recently I wasn't quite sure who I was saying hello to. If you have read my previous posts you would know that I'm relevantly new to this wonderful world of blogging. However, I recently took the time to play with my settings and noticed a little section called "Statistics" and oh my golly gosh was I delighted.
Now don't get me wrong I don't claim to be an international blogging sensation and I know my figures are tiny compared to most. But I was so touched that over 1300 people have taken a look at my blog and that they come from all over the world. It truly made my day!! If you have the time, please feel free to drop me a comment saying hi. I would love to hear from you!

Now onto more important issues
You must go get Glamour Magazine (December UK issue) they are giving away full size nails inc polishes. I picked up Glamour Glitter and I love it.. It looks like a little bottle of Christmas and even feels like an early present. So, Thank you Glamour very much x

October Favourites and Disappointments!!

Hello,

I hope you had a great October...

Starting from this month I am going to post my hero products and also name, if any, the products that disappointed me..

October has been a TERRIBLE skin month for me. My face has resembled braille at the best of times and small creators at the worst!! I have tried so many different products and ways to cover up and to be honest I haven't felt happy with anything. The best I can do is hide behind my hair and hope it looks worse to me then anybody else.

I put this breakout down to my hormones, At the beginning of the month My baby was 3 months old and any one that has had kids will know that all that surplus hair you acquired falls out as your body is letting go of the last pregnancy/baby hormones. i think this imbalance in hormones has certainly made an impact on my skin.

So with all that said lets start with what have been my heroes!

1. Chanel Perfection Lumiere (30) I have loved this to even out my skin tone, knock out all the red in my skin and to also make my appearance child friendly. When I first got this I wasn't keen at all. It didn't sit right on my skin and made me look like a dry old prune. I now pare this with a moisturiser and the end result is much better, much more velvet as opposed to old prune!

2. Mythic Oil This has done me proud. Perfect for smoothing my hair down and giving my hair a shiny sleek finish and although I don't believe it helps in the restructure and internal health of my hair, it does give me the swishy hair feeling.

3. O.P.I (Lincoln Park at Midnight) I have mentioned this before, its a different variation of that classic Rouge noir colour. But it has been the nail colour i have opted for the most.

4. La Roche-Posay Hydra phase Intense. I cannot have a creator face and big fat eye bags at the same time so I have been making sure I'm a good girl with the eye gel application. This has ensured that the skin around my eyes is a smooth as is possible for me.

5.Loreal Super Liner (intense black) I have been trying to achieve the perfect cat flick eye this month and although this smudges I can get the perfect shape with this felt nipped liquid eyeliner. What I then tend to do is go over the top with my Maybelline gel eyeliner to really seal the deal.

So I guess this leaves us to the rather tricky subject of what really disappointed me. Lets start by saying that when I first bought this set I had complete and utter faith that this would be the stuff to save me. I had once tried the Murad Vitamin C face wash and although it was a trial size it worked wonders for my skin. It cleared up all my blemishes and left me, dare I say it, Glowy?!?

So when I saw this set on HQHair.com I thought this has got to be the stuff!!

Unfortunately this was not the "stuff". If ever there was a time for a product to really show me what It could do, this would be it. I mean an Acne treatment kit for a girl with enough zits for her and her five friends!! Unfortunately this kit did nothing to improve the look of my skin and some days I even thought my skin looked worse. I saw better results by smearing Sudo cream on my face.
There was also a face wash in this kit which I used up in the vain hope of clear skin. All it did do was leave my skin looking like I had, had a reaction. Very red/purple and inflamed. I do feel really disappointed with this kit as I had so hoped it would help with my skin but it was not to be.

So my quest for clear skin goes on, I am seriously considering taking up the harsh method explained by Gossmakeupartist and using a whole barrel of Benzol peroxide on my skin.. or as my friend Jodie calls it...Mental Peroxide!!

My Lash staple!

I'm from Essex. I wear eyelashes
Let's get that out there to start with. Being from Essex I think I'm more then qualified to talk about sticking something to my lash line to enhance my flutter.

I have tried professionally applied lash extensions and offerings from MAC, Ardell and Eyelure to name but a few brands. I have tried the double layered lashes (hard work), single bunches, super natural pre clued strips and bottom lashes ala Kim Kardashian.
I have also tried all variations of coloured. You get the picture?!

I generally favour Eyelure lashes for a few simple reasons:
1) easily available
2) inexpensive
3) most "models" have a slim band

Let me tell you I have found my dream lash in Eyelures 151

They are perfect! Naturally lengthening and thickening, they have an organised randomness to each hair which I feel gives a more believable result. The lashes are longer in the centre giving a wide eyed look as opposed to longer at the outer eyed for that feline look.

Since wearing my first set three weeks ago I have been on the hunt for another set and hadn't been able to find them until today! Let's just say I took full advantage of the boots 3 for 2 offer!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure

I had spotted the Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in Boots and Superdrug before but with so much choice of nail polish these days I've never actually picked one of these up. However whilst in Asda last night I saw a small modest stand selling about 10 of the available colours from this range. My basket contained apples and baby milk at this point and needed glamming up, so in it went.

I decided to go for a classic milky pink, 160, shell we dance.

This nail polish claims to be five in one
~Base Coat
~Strengthener
~Growth treatment
~Colour
~Top coat

It also claims to be chip resistant and for nails to still be shiny for up to 10 days.
I love the idea of this and to make application even speedier the brush is double thickness meaning one swipe should cover the nails.
The finish is very nice and it does deliver on what it promises although I did have to apply four coats to achieve an opaque coverage.
Day one and my nails are still chip free.
Praise the lord, time will tell whether this lives up to the chip free 10 day claim.
Overall I think this is a lovely polish and I will certainly be checking out the other shades in this collection.

I Heart St.Moriz

Hi again,

It's LOVE! St.Moriz is brilliant.

No surprise there. After all it's not like I haven't read at least four other blogs claiming this to be brilliant.

My real question was... How does it compare to the Holy St.Tropez?

I applied the tan with a mit, which cost nearly as much as the bargain mousse and I did this pretty slap dash. A big squirt of product and a brief rub all over was about as far as the application technique took me. The mit really did help to speed things up and help ensure an even application. I really would recommend getting one. I guess I could of been more precious with the application but life's too short.

The best is yet to come.
The worst thing about fake fan for me is being sticky and smelling. I can't imagine anyone enjoys it but I really hate it. This product passed the test I was fully dry in under 5 minutes and there was no "urgh you stink" comments from my boyfriend. Result!

So back to the original question... For me this product is better then St.Tropez it's a lot cheaper and a pleasure to use. The results are only a shade lighter but you can't have it all.

Battle of the St.'s, 3 years too late

I apologise for this post. It comes about 3 years after the likes of lollipop26 mentioning it.
Let's just say this, I first tried fake tan about 12 years ago. I tried every brand or so it seemed and I sported the most orange knuckles/knees/feet! I gave up on fake tan until I jumped on the St.Tropez bandwagon and discovered that I could look tanned and avoid the oompa loompa look without going in the sun. From that point on I refused to use anything else why would I waste my money on cheaper brands that were a complete waste of time and money.
St.Tropez has one fault, it costs over £30 for a bottle.
As I said, I had read blog posts on St.Moriz literally 3 years ago. It was then claimed that this fake tan is the fake tan to rival St.Tropez at a fraction of the price. I took no notice until today.
Whilst in TKMaxx I spotted St.Moriz retailing for £3.99 for 200ml and thought why bloody not!
I will be giving myself a full body tan Friday night and I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.
Fingers crossed the orange knuckles don't return xx

Autumnal nails

Long time no blog.. Sorry for the quietness.
There seems to be a nail feature in most magazines currently on sale, it got me thinking... What are my favourite nail paints.
Having riffled through my collection I have pulled 5 varnishes that I absolutely love.
The first in my choice selection is nails Inc; Heathrow. It's a nude skin coloured polish that dries matte. It doesn't always give the most flattering of finishes but with a bit of patience and a good base/ridge filler the pay off is beautiful. Thanks to the skin hue of this polish it almost gives the illusion of longer and slimed more elegant fingers.
Onto polish number two. OPI Rainbow
Connection. This is a great polish for a winters night out. It catches the light and gives you a disco feel and due to all the different colours in this glitter it seems to go with a lot of outfits.. The only downfall this baby has is that it's a buggar to remove!
Polish number three is OPI Lincoln park at Midnight. It's one of those beautiful cherry colours. I have previously owned Chanel Rouge Noir which is the original cherry coloured polish however this OPI polish offers a tiny amount of shimmer which hides nail flaws alot easier!
Polish number Four is from the luxury brand YSL. Simply known as number 3 this polish was a present from my younger and much hipper sister. I love this classic red. It has a slight blue undertone so not to appear too orange. It goes well with my light olive skin but does take about three coats to get to a nice opaque coverage.
Lastly polish number five feels like a cheat.. Enter Seche Vite,
This top coat will help dry your nails faster and will also leave a really high shine. This polish almost gives a gel like finish meaning no peeling and nails that are less likely to fade. For me this is the ultimate top coat I haven't found anything else that makes any polish look instantly better like this does.

So that's my mini nail round up in other news I previously mentioned my Murad face kit bought from HQHair which completely and utterly dried my skin out. I think I overdosed on Salicylic acid. However I stopped using it and allowed my skin to go back to normal and now I'm ready to pick it up again. I'm going take it easy and see how I get on.

Shellac update

No one likes to see pictures of manky nails but I'm afraid this is what you'll get with this post.

My Shellac is 10 days old and in those 10 days I have washed up between 30-40 times (damn those baby bottles)
Changed between 40 - 50 nappies (nice) and also subjected them to daily wear and tear.
Let me tell you, these babies have actually lasted pretty well. I have the obvious growth space at the bottom which is standard and actually gives me a good indication of how much my nails have grown. On the tips there are signs that that my hands are in constant use, as you can see that the colour has worn away.
My actual nail feels protected. I have had no breakages and they have actually grown pretty long.

I can feel myself wanting to get these tidied up. Part of me wishes they could just infill them the other part of me wants to have them off and give myself a good buff and reshape.

A few of my friends have had these and I haven't heard a bad word.
Have you experienced Shellac? What was your experience like?

HQHair.Com Haul

Hello. Hope your having a fab Weekend.
I was sent a one off 20% discount code for www.hqhair.com last weekend so I decided to make a purchase, after all it would be rude not to.

As I have been enjoying the Redken Anti Snap I decided to give the shampoo and conditioner a go. These smell lovely and I'm looking forward to using these.

I also purchased a Murad acne treatment kit with five blemish busting products. I'm really looking forward to using these as I've heard they are effective but not harsh. I suffer with the odd hormonal breakout. But when I breakout I get hard lumps under my skin so fingers crossed these help rid my jawline of cystic acne.

Lastly I repurchased a bottle of seche Vite top coat. This really works and gives an almost gel like finish which makes any colour you use under this last longer. The only downside is that it does dry out when you get to the last third which is a waste.

All these products came to barely £40 which I think is real value.

Once I have finished the Murad Products I'll be sure to post a full review.
Enjoy what's left of the weekend x

Night out Make up

Hello

I'm loving blogging and also the lovely comments I have had, thank you all so much.

Onto more interesting stuff.
I have a fabulous night out with the girls on Saturday ( 2 weekends in a row... Shock horror) and I love going through my make up and deciding what I'm going to wear. I have decided to go for a full fringe and red lips since my bangs will be hiding everything up to my eyelashes.

I have chosen :
Mac Strobe liquid
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 30
Mac Studio finish concealer in NC30
Clinique All about eyes concealer in 02 light golden
Dior Nude tan bronzer in 002
Estee Lauder lip liner in 07 Red
Mac Matte Lipstick in Russian Red.

Black Mascara is essential as is a good perfume spritz. I have chosen Chanel Chance.

What are your "night out" make up staples? Anything you recommend?

REDKEN ~ Extreme anti-Snap

My newest hair love is this!
After almost 10 months of baby hormones and now a new born baby who loves to grab and pull my hair I needed a product that would protect my hair.

Redken Anti Snap is actually amazing.

It's been on the Market for years, I can remember using my first bottle about 8 years ago. Now it's firmly back in my life.

This product smells lovely. The only way I can describe it is clean sweets. It's not sickly sweet, just yummy.

It supposedly works by building up the protein network within the hair, making it stronger. I'm happy to say that I have seen a difference in my hair after 2 weeks use and would really recommend this product.

I bought mine from the rush website.

Shellac

I had my first manicure in ages on Saturday and decided to try Shellac, I was promised 14 days of glossy nails and after choosing a classic red the nail technician sat me down for 4 layers of gel, all cured under a lamp. Here are my nails alongside my friends baby pink version.

So far I love them. I'll update you in a week with how they/I am coping.

Forced to blog!!

Hello! Lets start with that...

I have practically been forced to blog.

I have been wanting to write a blog ever since I discovered the likes of lollipop26 and Gemsmaquillage.
I've considered the idea quite a few times and shied away. After all why would some one want to read my ramblings.

Anyway on a rather drunk night out on Saturday both my boyfriend and best friend decided to call me up on the lack of pursuing this idea. So I have decided to be brave and venture forth into the realm of beauty bloggin.

My blog will be based on all things beauty, we're talking treatments, make up, hair cuts, fake tan and shellac.. anything vain and superficial and Im there.

So here I am, putting myself into the beauty community to give you my honest and maybe unwanted opinion.

Any comments you have would be so appreciated, try to be kind!

xx
